Esnek akreditasyon alanları dahilinde Hohenstein, DAkkS'nin önceden bilgisi ve onayı olmadan aşağıdakileri yapabilir:
- Standartlaştırılmış test yöntemlerinin veya bunlara eşdeğer test yöntemlerinin serbestçe seçilmesi.
- Test yöntemlerinin değiştirilmesinin yanı sıra daha fazla ve yeni geliştirilmesi.
- Ölçüm prensibinin akreditasyon kapsamına zaten dahil edilmiş olması koşuluyla, listelenen standartlaştırılmış veya eşdeğer test yöntemlerinin farklı versiyonlarla uygulanması.
